Atm I'm encoding some videos to XviD, and I'm not sure whether I should go for MPEG or H263 quantization.
The GordianKot/XviD guide says that you should go for H263 when target size is one cd and MPEG if target size is two cd's. I'm not going for any specific target size, since I'm not going to put the material on cd's anyway.
Instead I'm aiming for a specific bitrate (average video bitrate 1100kbps - this is on the Bitrate Tab in GK) and the resulting Xvid encoded avi's is about 1/3 of the source m2v files.
In my personal opinion this means that I should choose MPEG quantization. Can someone confirm this?
