Simple Authoring w/ Music and Animation on Main Menu?

I have played with DVDLAB and well it is a tedious program IMHO. Then again maybe I need a walk thru. Anyhow I want to make a Music Video DVD. I was hoping to have the DVD menu start with a video clip and then go into backround music with each music video as an animated icon of the clip or something dazzling of sorts.


Can anyone suggest a program or a guide?

I have played with this software, however could not find where to insert an Intro clip before the menu, and add a sound file to play in the backround during menu selection? Is this program able to do this by chance, did I miss something?

On the 'Create Menu' screen click on 'Menu Display Settings'. On the 'General' tab of the window that pops up the 'Firstplay action' dropdown menu has three options, one of which is 'Play only first track'. This will have it play the very first track you add in the 'source setup' section when the authored DVD loads and then switch to the root menu after that, allowing you to have your intro. For background music, under the 'Motion menu' tab select 'Use motion menu' and 'use audio of the background video as the menu BGM'. If you want a static background then you'll have to create an mpg file with a single frame of video muxed with the background music you want. Take note of the other options on this tab concerning the use of animation for thumbnail pictures.

I'm sort of having the same problem. I want to author a DVD in TMPGEnc DVD Authoring out of these DVD Video files. The DVD Video files contain 4 titles and I have put each title on a separate track in TDA.

Now, how do I go about adding a small intro clip (which is also in VOB format) that plays when I insert the disc? The disc plays the clip first and then jumps to the still menu. And when I click to play each track, the clip WON'T play.

So the only time the intro clip plays is when you insert the DVD into the player. How do I achieve this in TDA?
