DivX Media Format playback

I've encoded SinCity with DivX 6.1, two Mp3 VBR 128 Kbps audio streams and two vobsub subtitles using StaxRip.

DivX Player didn't even play the file, Window Media Player did but don't even has keys to navigate back and forth, it's unusable as media player for me. Zoom Player, MPC and VLC sadly didn't work and I'm too busy atm. to evaluate and learn other players.

I know there are many other great formats I could use, I just want to be able to playback all formats my application StaxRip can output, may it be only for testing purpose.

.divx is .avi, therefore you should be able to play the video + multiple audio in every dshow player without the need to install anything special (except the decoders of course)
try opening the file in graphedit for seeing whats going on

subs are a different story

The problematic parts are the new/extra features as well as a bunch of bugs like the Zoom Player video area don't react on the mouse all of the sudden and other bugs like freezes.
