I've never seen or heard of this problem, but here it goes.
Every time I try to play back videos on this computer I'm working on, be they MPEG, WMV, or AVI (even DVDs through PowerDVD) the color is all off. It appears really light, like the color has been turned way up, but if I take a screen shot (using ZoomPlayer, for example) it appears normal in the SS. I thought it may have something to do with the DirectShow filters in DX9 and so checked DX files, all turned out fine. I also did 2 check disks (with both available flags) as well as updated video drivers and made sure no strange profile was selected, and updated other motherboard drivers. What's strange about all this is that if you choose Quicktime to play any of these videos back, they look normal.
Anyone have any idea of what's going on? Should I post system specs?
thanks,
Chip
Edit: I found out that using ZoomPlayer and setting the video render to anything other than 'System Default' or 'Overlay Mixer' makes the video appear normal. Any ideas?
