I've ripped a few VOB's to my hard drive with DVD Decrytper, and when I load them into Nero Recode to encode them to AVC, the length is detected wrong. I decided to go ahead and encode Batman Begins, even though the length was wrong, and later into the movie, the video became messed up. Anyone else experience problems with VOBs and Recode?

i hardly use recode, but you could try creating an .avs script as described in doom9s guides and feed recode with that

I tried doing that, and using only video, it works fine. I wan't to feed it the video and a 3/2 448kbit AC3 audio stream also, and encode to 5.1ch AAC. I can't get AVISynth to use the AC3 file, and if I use VdubMod to import the AC3 and then set up a frameserver, Recode is very unhappy. I need a way to feed the video and audio into Recode.

I've done Batman in Recode just fine but I used 2ch audio.

How did you do it?
I'm thinking about just using x264 though. In the codec comparison x264 just beat Ateme, and Recode 2 is just an older version of ateme isn't it? Or is ND AVC something different. Anyway it seems much faster than x264, although I guess that is pitting HP v. MP.

Yes ND uses Main Profile. I am using Recode from Nero 6., not 7 if that makes a difference...
