Just a general question I was wondering, what happens when you play a 23.976fps AVI on one of these players?
The best way would be to resize to NTSC resolution, and apply 3:2 pulldown to convert to 29.97fps NTSC output.
The method that I use when playing from PC with TV out is to use Reclock to speed up playback to 25fps, and output in PAL. But this only works if the audio is MP3, AC3 (over SPDIF) cannot be resampled that way.
Any other method, like simply repeating every 4th frame to make up to 29.97fps, would just lead to jerkiness on camera pans and motion.
