Hi, I just made a tutorial for a few friends from my group who wanted to make motion menus. It starts with step one and ends with authoring. I know there are a lot of guides, but this is the methods I use. I took an after effects class, so I was able to simplify it down to work with this tutorial. It's in a pdf file that I created in InDesign and it's 6.68MBs. So I recommend downloading it to your HD and not opening it from your browser. It should also be nicely printable. You can get it here. (Right click>save as) (http://66.166.214.10/dvdauthoring1-highquality.pdf) A friend of mine is hosting it for me, so be nice.
Questions, comments, things I should add or left out? Leave it here.
[edit]My other host seems to be down, I'm hosting it on my site. Please be kind to it. Right Click > Save As (http://www.ravensgarage.com/~leonsite/Other/dvdauthoring1-highquality.zip)

Leon:
I think your hyperlink is goofed, it's not working at this time. Hit the edit button and see if you can find the error in your initial post(everything between the underscore characters):
_http://http://66.166.214.10/dvdauthoring1-highquality.pdf_
If you used the postform's gui to insert your hyperlink, the _http://_ is already set for you, I believe you clicked once first in that textfield before pasting in your hyperlink, adding an extra hyperlink pointer. Remove one of the _http://_'s and you should be good to go. Your link, stripped of the forum's postform code, should look like this:
_http://66.166.214.10/dvdauthoring1-highquality.pdf_
At any rate, if this is confusing, just rework your hyperlink, checking that it's in working before you "accept the changes"...:)

Thanks, I fixed it. That's what I get for copying and pasting.

Good deal. I was looking at the "New Posts" when the entry for "After Effects" caught my eye, I'm trying to learn it and slogging through some entry-level tutorials. I got to it the first time around by re-working the page's source code but haven't taken a look at the pdf, yet, but I will. Thanks for giving the tutorial to the community!

[Edit]After looking through some of your posting history, it's become quite plain that a little HTML or VB code did not "confuse" you. :) I do most of my work in the Newbies forum; this is the sort of reply I usually make over there. Ciao...

Yeah, I've been around for quite a while. I usually "TRY" not to post questions that are too stupid. Though, when you said VB Code, I was thinking Visual Basic .NET, which I took a class just this last semester along with After Effects class. Silly me. Anyways, tell me what you think when you do get a chance to read it.
