Good afternoon everybody!
I got two questions about MP4-Muxing with YAMB:

1) I encoded my AAC's with Winamp AACplus v2 at 44.1 kHz and 64kb/s.
But if I mux them into MP4 Container YAMB and VLC are both telling me , that I have only 22 kHz ?
http://xs59.xs.to/pics/05503/VLC.png.xs.jpg (http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs59&d=05503&f=VLC.png)

2) I muxxed one SRT Subtitle and OGM-Chapter into the MP4-Container with YAMB.

VLC displays the Subtitle fine , but i haven't got Chapters.
And in Nero Showtime the Chapters are aviable but the button for Subtitles is
greyed out.

I assume that VLC does'nt support MP4-Chapters.
But how can I get the Subtitle work in Nero Showtime ?

3) I didn't find any option in YAMB. So , how to change the Aspect Ratio in MP4 ?

Regards ,

Christian

I had the same problems some time ago (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=715363#post715363) .

this is due to the sbr part.

dunno but you can try with mpc.

in options tab, check "View Import Options directly" then load your file. You will see a new form with some extra settings and especially Pixels Aspect Ratio. :)

Thanks for your advice with the Aspect Ratio.
It works fine http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/liebe/a078.gif

I downloaded the last version (ed2k://|file|mpc2kxp6487.7z|1590693|4B04A1151F85401D2909AC6A66B509B5|/) of MPC and tryed to open my resulting MP4-File.

I got an Error:
Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph , you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed on the system.Log-file is attached.

Then i used the Forum Search Engine. There was the suggestion that there is missing the Codec.

But I got ffdshow on my system and avc1 + aac decoding is activated.

Strange Problems with MP4.
Anyone could help?

1) Chapters

Chapters muxed with Yamb cannot be seen in Showtime. You need MPC or ZoomPlayer. To split the chapters out of the file you need a splitter. MPC has his own spitter but for all other players you nned Haali Media Splitter (use search)

2) SBR
When you mux the Winamp AAC into mp4 you have to set the SBR flag. In Yamb itīs an extra settimg like the aspect ratio you already found.

3) Missing filters
You have to download ffdshow. Only Showtime has itīs own playback filters.

4) Haali Media Splitter & Nero Splitter
If you Nero installed you have to deactivate the Nero Splitter. Itīs called "Parser". If you download the "mp4pack" (look at movie2digital for download), you will have all tools and filters you need for playback.

I understood the first 2 Points.
Thanks a lot to you.

But according to 3 and 4:

I have already installed ffdshow and Haali , so why a Codec Pack ?
Moreover i didn't find it:

Deactivate Nero-Parser ?
How can I do that ?

Itīs not a codec-pack you think of - itīs just basic for mp4 playback. Try this link (http://movie2digital.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=81&Itemid=27) (sorry itīs german)

In the pack is a deactivator for the nero parser :)

A little update now!

I updated my ffdshow to Version ffdshow-20051103.exe .
Now the MP4 plays fine in MPC 6487 and the Chapters are aviable.
(See Attachment 1)

But the TTXT Subtitles , which are playing fine VLC aren't there in MPC.
The Button is greyed out.
(See Attachment 2)

Please help !

MPC uses its own internal subs renderer, which i think will only work when the renderer is set to vmr9 renderless or so?

Eastermeyer
16th December 2005, 20:25
It was allready set to VMR9.
