I apologize in advance for asking such a simple question, but I've searched this forum and read just about every thread regarding HC and still can't find the answer.
I have an avi file which I would like to convert to mpeg-2. I have written an .avs script with all my filters and resizing commands and it works when viewing through MediaPlayer Classic.
I have also been able to run the .avs script through TMPGenc to encode. However, I stopped the process when I was looking at a 40 hour encode time. I don't have the fastest computer. What little it did encode was just what I wanted.
I also use DVDRebuilder Pro to back up my DVD's using the HC encoder.
So my very newbie question: How do I get HC to take my .avs file and encode it to an mpeg-2? From what I've been able to gather, I think I need to create an .ini file - but I have no idea how to do that or how HC even opens up the .ini file.
I've tried to find a help document with HC, but I can download the executable only. It doesn't seem to include any type of .pdf documents.
If someone could provide a link or a quick down and dirty guide, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Ty
