ffdshow cropping video to specific aspect ratio.

Hi, Im quite new to ffdshow, so any help you can give me would be appreciated.

I want it to output all video at a 4:3 ratio, but rather than have it change the aspect of the original material I'd like it just to crop the video to the right aspect.

So for example if I have a widescreen xvid file I want it to crop off the sides of the video so that it fills the whole of my 4:3 monitor.

Is this possible? If so how can I do it?

There are settings within ffdshow to do that, but it destroys the quality. Better yet, re-encode from your originals to 4:3.
