the title says it all.. I would need a build yesterday for the qualification phase of my upcoming codec comparison or theora will not be included.

From recollection it contained a fairly recent libtheora. I could compile a new version later today, but not yesterday.

uh, that's ffmpeg, ffmpeg2theora is something different (http://www.v2v.cc/~j/ffmpeg2theora/). ffmpeg only supports theora decoding, I'm looking for a theora encoder based at least on libtheora 1.0 alpha 5 or preferably the latest CSV state. And without timetravel today would still be great, I'm having a feeling there's not much interest from the Theora team of participating.. could me being on Windows have something to do with it? I still vividly recall all the MS haters surrounding Xiph, but being on Linux doesn't stop XviD, x264, Snow, even the Dirac team managed to whip up working binaries.

but there are win compiled binaries ...
also there is makefile for mingw in svn ...
here are the changes not available in latest binaries:
svn
- support encoding from .ogg input file.
- don't change samplerate and audio channel unless we use command line
options.
- don't change the image resolution, unless we use the presets or the
-x or -y options (old default was to encode to preset preview).
- change the audio quality levels that were multiplied by 0.99, now
match the quality settings of oggenc, e.g. -a2 == -q2.
- add --optimize option: use a full search for motion vectors and
reduce Theora bitrate by about 5%, but it is slower.

I know about ffmpeg2theora, but you said ffmpeg.
Is there a patch or anything to get theora-mmx working with ffmpeg2theora?
I'll see about doing a curent ffmpeg2theora build.

but there are win compiled binaries ...Yes, but dated August 21st.. that's a really long time ago.
Sorry about the confusion with the title, I'm going to edit it now.

Ok, all done. Tested with a small sample and it seems ok.
