Hi,
I recently noticed that mplayer classic seems to have huge issues playing audion on my laptop. I hear strange distortions as if I am running everything way too loud, but they appear alrady on the lowest settings. Ironicly the quality appears to be much better in wmplayer10. So now I am looking for a replacement player, at least for audio, since I dont know where I could start about fixing mplayer classic.
I would like an audio-player that emphasizes a bit in quality, especially for bad (laptop)speakers and not too high quality mp3s, that has straightforward ways in making playlist (I guess thats basic).
I would also like to see a big pre-cache, if that exists at all for players. It does for bittorrent. The idea is to only read from the hd every x MB, into the memory, so that the rest of the time the hd is not running and doesnt suck energy and burns my lap.
Any recommendations?
thx
