I'm new to this so I hope I don't annoy anyone with my question. I looked around on here and didn't see a similar topic, but I only looked back so far. I've got a movie that is broken into 2 separate AVI files and combined they are too big to put on a regular DVD so I bought some Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I tried using Nero to put them together on one, but afterwards it would not play on my dvd player. I have not had any problems with any of the other DVD's I've backed up playing on that same player. How should I approach this? I was going to go trial and error but these DL discs are too expensive to toy around with and I've already got one coaster out of the deal. I have not used any other DL discs yet, but I can't imagine that would be the problem, it has to be the way I'm burning it. Any help would be a appreciated.

Hi!

I can only tell you that I had no problem playing a Verbatim DL DVD that I burned containing all six "Star Wars" episodes in .AVI format, using NERO in "UDF/ISO" mode.
I tried using Nero to put them together on one
1) Didn't you keep your original single .AVI that you created?
2) Joining two .AVIs can be accomplished in VirtualDub (or any of its variants) by simply:

A) Loading the first file and then, from the "File" dropdown menu selecting "Append .AVI segment" and loading the second file.

B) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy"

C) Save with a new filename
