These days, I run into lots of MPEG4 files encoded with DTS streams.
I was wondering, Is DTS that much superior to DD 5.1?
(I have 16 watt stereo TV so really can't tell the difference.)

Anyways... In order to be authored and played in my PS2 DVD player
That PESKY DTS got to be transcoded to AC3, so..

Following is what has been done so far;

I ran the file into Gspot, and it says,
0x2001 unknown
755kb/s (5ch) 48000 Hz

I demuxed DTS file using VirtualdubMod, resulting in getting X.DTS
and trying convert it to 6 mono wav files;

1. Tried Hypercube Tanscoder
"Unable to render file: X.DTS Perhaps some filters missing..."

2. Tried Belight
It Just Doesn't Work

3. Tried Foobar2000
"Conversion failed"

4. Tried Tranzcode
"Can't not locate CC3260.dll..."

Something's not right, I must be missing out on something big..

I admit that I don't know what I'm doing, because I'm a Newbie,
but this is too much...

Is Demuxing DTS using VirtualdubMod a problem?

I spent whole 2 days to find a solution but with no success.
Read all the threads concerning DTS, still no clue.

Help~!!

Where are you "running into" these DTS-encoded MPEG-4 videos?

If you're "running into lots of MPEG-4 files", they're most probably not covered under the requests that we can handle. Look to the Announcement at the top of the Newbies homepage for further details.
