Up through DVDR Pro version 1.03, I have not had any problems with this app. Now that I have installed 1.04, it repeatedly causes my computer to crash (reboot, not freeze) in the preparation phase. No matter what settings I use, my computer crashes during prep. I'm not sure what info would be helpful to diagnose the problem. My cpu temp remains relatively constant (on the warm side), my available memory does not drop before the crash, I have a P4 3.2 gig, 1.5 gigs of PC 333 SDRAM, Intel chipset. Any idea what might be causing this?
BTW - I backed up the same vid using DVD2SVCD ver. 122, build 3 after giving up on DVDR (for now), and it worked just fine, particularly the version of dvd2avi that is bundled with that app.

The problem is somewhere else in your system. During preparation DVD Rebuilder is just reading and writing files... the problem seems to be happening only on your computer.

The problem is somewhere else in your system.
Is there any version of avisynth that you recommend for use with ver. 1.04? Would avisynth be a likely app to investigate for problems? My computer has been very stable so I suspect that the interplay of different backup bundles (DVD2SVCD, Godian Knot, and DVD-RB) may be causing this problem.

OK - Fixed.
You were right - the problem was not DVD-RB. I uninstalled whatever version of avisynth I had and installed a fresh copy of ver. 2.5.6, and everything is back to normal. Thanks for letting me think out loud here.

@mnfesq
Glad to hear you got your troubles straightened out. :)
As a side note, and FYI, you probably won't have any problems with Avisynth 2.56, but be aware that 2.55 is the supported version that comes with the DVD-RB installer if more troubles do arise.
