...that is driving me crazy. lol I'm by no means an expert with this program but I have figured out enough to make a decent enough menu. I'll explain a little bit about how my project is set up.
Basically the dvd will contain 2 complete episodes. These episodes are long and divided into 3-4 parts. On top of that I have a short movie clip that is played on First Play.
So VTS 1 contains the short movie clip and a transition from this clip to my VMG menu. My VMG menu (Main Menu) has 2 links, one to each of the Episodes. These lead to VTS 2 and VTS 3 root menu's. Which is one for each Episode. On the root menu's I have 3 or 4 links (depending on how many parts the episode has). I also have a Play All button and a Main Menu button. What I would like to happen is to have the option to play the first part in the set and when that finishes go back to the root menu for that episode. So I have my connections set up that way. No problem it works great IF I play out the movie to the very end.
My problem is that, for the most part, I don't care to watch all of the credits. As I have seen on commercial TV Show DVD's I want to Press Next on my converter and proceed to the ROOT menu.
From what I have learned, by default if you press Next while watching a movie and there are no more chapters it will do nothing. In dvd lab there is the option under the UOPS Settings to control the Next Button. So I change that to "Follow End Link to Movie or Menu". Then I have my End Link set as the Root Menu.
When I play this in windows using WinDVD 6 it works as intended. I can either watch through the credits and go to ROOT or I can hit Next and when there are no more chapters it will go to the ROOT. However when I try on my DVD player everytime I hit Next with no more chapters it skips to the next Title. I tried this on 2 different DVD players and get the same result. It always wants to go to the next Title, ignoring my setting to Follow the End Link. :(
Such a small problem, but it's killing me. Before I start burning these for good, I'd like to solve this. Anyone out there have any ideas?
