i recently reinstalled dvd shrink thinking that the program wasnt working prop. but then realised that the new sony protection was the cause of all the probs with removing protections...now when backing up with the newly installed dvd shrink the rate and buffer starts at 0 and the time sits between 8 to 999 hours.any ideas?

by the way use any dvd instead of dvd decrypter works every time even with new dvds.

Hi!

If your O/S is WinXP, you might want to perform a System Restore back to the last time things were working properly...

Is it an ARccOS disk? If so, DVD Shrink/AnyDVD might be choking.

PS. Nice to see another blue person - keep it up setarip ... we need more converts to the blue team :)

i backed up a couple of dvds on my hard drive that did have ARccOS i have recently deleted them but is there any chance of that protection doing anything to these programs that will stop them from working prop in the future?like does it just screw with burning for that one project or does it leave a mark for future burning?ive tried different copies of dvd shrink but no luck nothings changed.i would prefer to not format the hard drive but if i cant figure it out i think that may be my only hope.

No, it shouldn't have any effect on the programs. And again, before you consider formatting your hard drive, if your O/S is WinXP, you can try a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly...
