I just noticed a very strange problem. The video clip in divX format suffered artifacts and became purple in Windows Media Player 10. I found out that it only happens in WMP, not in mplayer2, MPC or mplayer. Gspot told med that I had some strange "DivXAntiFreeze codec" that I didn't know of. I then tried reinstalling the DivX 5.11 that worked fine before. Now, when I watch a divx clip it gets black and white, though not in mplayer2 with the same decoder. After trying the 3ivX decoder WMP10 crashes and referes to quartz.dll, a part of directshow. This now also happens with the divx codec. Xvid on the other hand works just fine, though I can never get it to decode Divx for some reason. What can this problem be? What can I do?

Now, it for some reason uses "AVI Decompressor" instead of the codecs. This is after reinstalling WMP10. I also notice what feels like to much brightness.

EDIT: I got it to detect the codecs again but it still feels a little too bright and the colors seem washed out. Where can I change this?

EDIT 2: I seems it was that I had changed from overlay to something else. Now it seems fine but I still don't understand why it all happened, the purple artefacts in the lower part of the screen etc.
