I'm having a weird problem with a simple white title on black background when encoding with Adobe Encore DVD 1.5.
The source video is PAL DV, the title fades in from black, stands still for about 2-3 seconds and then ends with a zoom-in-zoom-out wipe into the actual footage.
The source video looks perfect, no problems.
When I encode this with Encore (settings: Highest CBR bitrate, video+ac3 audio is 8.6Mbit/s, field order lower field first) then a weird problem appears: The title fades in, looks well until the fade is over, then the fields seem to split and the title is shown doubled. This picture stands still until the beginning of the wipe which seems to be normal again.
I have encoded another 1 hour of the same source material, including rolling titles overlayed on footage, and everything was perfect, the problem only appeared in this scene (the only one with only white text above black background)
I have exported the source material from Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 more than 4 times with the option "optimize stills" activated and deactivated, I also moved the wipe and moved the fade-in (there wasn't anything else I could think of...) but nothing helped.
This picture shows the DV source:

This next picture shows the Encore mpeg (but as I said before, the title doesn't look like this immediately, it first looks ok during it fades in and then moves into this:

I also uploaded two clips of the scene because the problem is hard to describe with only words and stills. The clips are rar-packed but I had to add a .jpg extension because the free server wouldn't allow rar...
(just download with right-click "save as" and then remove the ".jpg" from the filename)
unaltered DV-avi video source (2.8 MB) (http://www.gwebspace.de/thereal/DVSource.rar.jpg)
Encore MPEG (m2v-file, video only, 873 KB) (http://www.gwebspace.de/thereal/EncoreError.rar.jpg)
It seems the server limits DL speed to 30k... sorry, I don't have any better servers handy :o
Any ideas are highly appreciated!
