mpeg 3 to ???? what to do?

Okay, so ive never really done this before, so im a complete newbie. My brother wants me to copy episodes of Naruto for him, around 50! He has a chipped xbox, so he will be playing them on that.
The question is what is the best way to burn these, whilst fitting the most episodes onto one dvd? Do I need to convert the files?
They are MPEG layer 3

There is no such thing as MPEG3 video. What is the source material? Downloaded AVIs? Captured off air?
