I'm having some trouble with this DVD PAL (Aliens 3 Directors Cut).
DGIndex reports audiodelay as -7ms but that doesn't seem to be right.
The audio get gradually more and more out of synch.
Is there any other way or tools to achieve perfect synch ?
Is there some know problem with this DVD ?
Any help will be much appreciated
//Thanx in advance

Hi!
A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the video:
Load the file into VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or NanDub.
Set BOTH "Video"(VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and NanDub) and "Audio" (VirtualDub and NanDub - VirtualDubMOD>"Streams>"Stream list") to "Direct Stream Copy".
From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" (For VirtualDubMOD, rightclick on the listed audiostream and then select "Interleaving")
Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of milliseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay audio track by"
Save with a new filename
B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:
From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate" - and select "Change so video and audio durations match"
Save with a new filename

I'm now thinking it might have something to do with the fact that the DVD contains both Theatrical and Directors cut edition but I have no idea how to fix this synch problem :scared:

Thanx for reply. Will try your suggestions. My problem is B. I never experienced this kind of problem before :-(
Will report back

If you're having trouble with multi-angle, it is because you did not rip the disc in IFO mode. IFO mode will rip a single angle from a single DVD Program Chain (PGC). For more, please see http://www.doom9.org/dvd-structure.htm

Thanx so much setarip_old
That B solution fixed it. I'm your humble servant for life :thanks:
Didn't know about the "Change so video and audio durations match" option.
Again thanx so much
BTW
I did rip in IFO mode :)
