Hi Guys

I am using version pro 1.04 and when I try to encode the movie "XXX 2" it stops with this error message:

http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/5961/errormessage4lw.th.jpg (http://img451.imageshack.us/my.php?image=errormessage4lw.jpg)

I am currently (Right now) Encoding it with Shrink just to see if that fails to....

Any Feedback on what could be wrong.
The ORG movie plays fine in PowerDVD...

Cheers

Hmmm I found a old post here about this problem when using cce 2.7
but this is the first time I have gotten this and I am using 2.7.2.1
I will try to use cce 2.67 as stated below...

LINK (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=92894&page=5&pp=20&highlight=manually+encoding+segment)
****************
"ERROR: File VXXXXXXX shows completed, but no .M2V file exists. Aborted."

That happend about 40% during the encode before when using CCE 2.7

Now I managed to get it working with latest DVDRB 0.84.1 PRO and CCE 2.67 (Trial)

Edited: DVDRB 1.04 PRO and CCE 2.67 WORKS (Only tested with One/Pass)!!!

And I guess after reading the link above...that I will not have missing frames!
DVDRB 1.04 Pro should notify me if CCE F**KS up.....right?

Okay this was just one movie and I am just happy that DVD Rebuilder notify me with a error when CCE makes one.

For future movies I will still use version 2.70.2.1 since I think the VBR Bias setting have more punch in this version than in 2.67 but thats another topic, now I know what to do when this happens

read the log, if there are no errors, then you shoul dbe okay

I just did a run with the same setup without 1 pass enabled

DVDRB 1.04 PRO and CCE 2.67

And now I get the same error again!

Whats the differens between using CCE one Pass and 4 pass
How should this have a impact on how this error?

I really dont know what to do now, I can only get it to work with one/Pass and then the quality isnt god enough.

that is odd. try reripping the disk, and check your rip settings. you did no preprocessing right?

No!

The source is the same folder I did the Single Pass On!
So it cant be that...everything is the same now only different thing is that I now run 4 passess....I am giving up!

I guess a version with single pass is better than nothing..

EDITED: Somebody wrote that HC encoder can awoid this error....
I have never tried this is the default settings okay...should I change it
The movie is between 6-900MB to big...

Are you overclocked by any chance? The frustrating thing about this error is that CCE simply crashes so you really don't know why. That "no .M2V" file check was added just because of v2.70...

No OC, and now I am using the good old stable 2.67 and it still fails when I dont use the "One Pass Option"...Maybee this is just one off these rare movies who have "strange frames"...(2.67 did succed with the One pass Option)

jdobbs: I read somewhere that you said that the HC encoder almost produces same Quality as CCE so I am currently trying to encode it with HC...still running
Default VBR HC bias is 20 so I guess its ok

Or is Qenc better? I read that HC can have missed frames?
