HI
I am lost as to why my DVDs play on everything except macs. Players/PCs etc. They are made in Maestro 2.9 without region encoding and burned using Nero 7 DVD-video preset also trying many types of disk.

Macs simply auto eject them suggesting that they will not even try and read them.

Ive never heard of this , cant see why it should happen and cant find any information about others having this problem. Plus I dont want to have to slag macs off every time I try and show someone a DVD ;)

...so basically Im stumped. Any tips whatsoever appreciated.

thanks remainz

...so basically Im stumped. Any tips whatsoever appreciated. That IS odd. Once I bought a bunch of Fuji DVD-R that would not work in Macs, unless you used them to burn disc images. All my other Fujis have worked fine, but now I shy away from them.
Did you try different media maybe? Just a long shot....

yes "many types of disk"
I agree it is very strange but it has happened many times over several years now.Different DVD burners too.

I would like to know where the most likely place for the problem lies.
Is it in Burner?
Is it Nero?
Is it Maestro?

What do you think?

If your burner has "bitsetting" capability, you might want to try burning DVD+R media with the bit set, so that the disc appears to your Mac to be a DVD-ROM (pressed, rather than burned, DVD)
