Verbatim DL being read as CD-R

I have done numerous successful burns but after my last order of DL disks dvd shrink and nero are reading the disk as a cd-r. i am using the pioneer dvr108, anyone else have this problem

Did you purchase this media from a reliable source? Are you SURE the media is actually DL DVD media? You can use a program such as DVD Identifier to determine this with certainty...
