Digital Video Managment Solution? (like itunes!)

I'm just starting to get into digital video, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that might help me . . .

I'm looking for something where I rip entire dvds to my computer (which I've managed to do alright) but them store them as single files with thumbnails of their covers. That way, I can browse my selection of dvds by looking at the covers, click one, and it would open (most favorably in Media Player Classic). I guess it doesn't even have to be a single file, as long as this program would know how to read the contents of a folder, know it's a dvd, and display it's artwork thumbnail. Almost something like what ratDVD does, but without actually compressing or reencoding the dvd. I was thinknig something more along the lines of itunes, which seems good for single video files but not for entire dvds!

Maybe even something like Apple's new frontrow . . . but on a PC. Is there anything out there?

If you've successfully saved each of them as single files:

1) Create icon sized bitmap graphics of each cover

2) Right click on each DVD file and create a shortcut for each one.

3) Click on the "General" tab of each shortcut, select "Change Icon" and select the appropriate bitmap graphic

4) Associate the file format of the DVD files with the pklayer of your choice
