How do i convert various downloaded vids to files that can be handled by a DVD player? Their in various formats QT, AVI, WMV, etc. DVD player can't handle DIVX. Looking to create a compilation of various vids for friends (autmotive stuff mostly)

Are these public domain videos? If not, please see forum rule 6.
You need an MPEG2 encoder and a DVD authoring tool. Use search.

Yep, just someone who recorded thier buddy doing burnouts, donuts, other general stupid stuff.
recommend any specific programs? easy to use would be preferred.

You're in the wrong forum. You should have posted in Newbies or DVD Authoring.
Freeware: I'd recommend HC for MPEG2 encoding and Muxman for authoring. You'll need to use Avisynth as well.
I'm not the right guy to ask for easy stuff. :) Go over to the DVD Authoring Forum and read some threads. There are lots of references to the "easy" stuff.
