ok .. as far as i know hd-dvd or anything is not anywhere near volume production .. then whats this small-time company called Vinverth releasing - labelled HVD Player or High Definition DVD D9 calling it the top of the market higher than dvd-qualty promises at resolutions of 1920x1080 ? they have started releasing movies around 6 months back ...

Is this for real .. they claim to be doing a telecine transfer of existing films using panasonic eqpt to HD-DVD ... i mean if it is then how how come no big electronic companies have taken it up even though i dont know anything abt hd-dvd guys fixing on the format ??

OMG! Malayan cinema leads the world! (look at the films they have)
They're most likely encoding in ASP using one of the newer HiDef chips and delivering films on 2 DVDs.

yea mpeg2 with encryption sounds good .. but the high resolution of 1920x1028 ? .. the high resolution part is true ..

If anyone got any ideas for codec's to try out .. do tell me...

PS: ive uploaded the menu files & also the only small tiny blip of video which i think is part of the menu .. the rest of the video files are 780MB each in size ...

Well the .mpg file you posted has "MPEG-2 Test Sequence, 30 frames/sec" near the start of the file. You're right, it looks encrypted.

Hehe, that's the good old HVD-Format. Done by TMPGEnc with some encryption. But all HVD-Disks i own are encoded in 960x720.
Just use Bitrateviewer instead of GSpot.
