I've been trying to put subs onto a dvd that doesnt have subs allready using DVDdecrypter to demux and ifoedit, ifoupdate to add the subs

after I demux the m2v file that should be 30mins long has a timestampü of more then 1 hour and when remux with subs it shows the length of 24mins :-(

can this be caused by VFR video material?
source is VFR video

demuxing it with vobedit gave me an even longer timestamp of 1:30h+

anybody know how to fix this??

when ripping to vob with dvddecryptzer and then demuxing I get length of 24mins so I guess its caused by vfr

is there a way to re-mux VFR dvd content??

Its possible that the video file is based on field_picture instead of frame_picture, or a combination so the length reported by some apps is incorrect (they class each field as a frame). Import into muxman and this should be accurate.

Timestamps quite often start at 1:00:00:00 - check the timestamp at the beginning of the m2v.
Which program did you use to multiplex? It could be a case of not being rff-aware (NTSC material becomes 80% of original run time)
Do you mean VFR or VBR? Video in DVDs is most often VBR, but the framerate must remain constant - either 25fps for PAL or 29.97fps for NTSC.

I used IFOedit to multiplex and the video is NTSC
and I meant VFR not VBR cos its a hybrid dvd with film material and some CG that is 30fps material but I figured that this shouldnt cause this problem

I'm gonna check muxman as soon as I'm back home
:thanks: for the fast reply :)
