May I be the first to congratulate you jdobbs on the new and improved 1.04 - I love the new options section and the tidy menus!

The mailer is still working its way through the outgoing queue... unfortunately it's a bit slow.

yeah, I think premature announcements about new releases tend to frustrate everybody else who might not yet have got their email... probably best not to let the proverbial cat out of the equally proverbial bag

too late now though! - will be giving this a try tonight on Charlie's Choccies
congrats on producing and integrating so many more fixes and enhancements into this fine product

Reorganized the "Options" configuration. It is no longer accessed as a Menu. Now it is accessed via a Tree View on either the tab bar, or, for pre-version 1.00 skins, via an "Options" choice in the "Settings" menu. The menu had grown too large for easy use. Some "quick access" items remain under the "Settings" menu.

- Added a setting under the "Mode" menu in which you can select all Extras for Half-D1. This option will not reduce bitrates for Extras (like Half/Half), but settings selected under "Steal Space from Extras" will be applied. This provides more granularity so the option can be used more effectively.

That's a great improvement - On the other side I'd like to suggest to add an option to select how much space Steal from Extras on a per VTS base. This would make the use of "Steal Space from Extras" even more effective. It would be helpful yet if the log of the prepare phase can show some additional info on a per VTS base (a sort of verbose mode) like % of space needed by the VTS , original BitRate with Min/Max (it's not so trustful but can give some infos about the complexity of the source). It would also be really helpful if it was possible to assign avs filter and Q_Matrix on a per VTS level , but I understand I'm asking too much !!!

I'd also like to report that , since 1.03 , I had no issues w/multiAngle-InterLeaving . Full workink BUPs: Robots , SW3 , You got Served SE !!!

Thank you and keep up the good work , bye !!!

yes it would be nice to choose what you want to do with the extras as opposed to a blanket change for all

@jdobbs

Thanks for yet another update. Where do you find the time?

I can't keep up (haven't tried 1.03 yet)!

:thanks:
