I've gotten this error (0006 framecount dif.) using 1.03 w/ both hc and cce in opv now. the title is madagascar was prepared for ripping prob's w/ dvdd but there was none. there is however a bout 200 stills (exageration) in one vts and a crap load of small segments!

I've done a couple searches and can't seem to pinpoint a fix, it's early I may have missed it if this has been dealt w/ already please provide a link.

I read something about counting flags neither made since to me, or provided a solution that I could discern? but willing to try anything!

What did you use to rip it?

Note that AnyDVD had a new release yesterday related to Madagascar. DVD Decrypter will not handle it.

I used DVD Fab and it worked correctly. You can download it here:

@Everyone

Just a note to remember: This error (0006) is often an indicator of a bad rip.

thnx for the quick reply I used dvdd w/ no errors I was about to start a thread regarding psl2 files as I imported successfully using pgcedit on stealth region1 but
although I was ready for madagascar there were no I/O errors so I thought although it sounds unlikely maybe after importing one set from the new prot. scheme it would recognize it???, either way I got a fully functional video_ts file (which has been known to happen w/ me dvdd will give me a flawless rip when noone else can get it to go I'm guessing regions/zones) so I continued. something like 2 dummy sectors and success ( it say's)

I will give fab a go if your sure and will try to get the psl2 list (i'm in region 1)

here's hoping!

*edit* another "successful" rip w/ dvdfab now I'm going to fun it through cce opv, will update!

much thnx to professor dobbs, I was able to process the entire film (including subtitles) using the rip from fab decrypter I've hesitated using this prog for a while now, nostalgic I guess.

I suppose another donation is in order for this session in video 101.

I'm a bit attached to my DVD-Decrypter, but I had to use DVD-Fab in order to decrypt Madagascar.... but I would still like to use DVD Decrypter on the movies that I can. Is there any way to know which movies will NO LONGER work in DVD Decrypter?

have you installed the psl2 file pugin for pgcedit this should bypass all need for redoing movies I use it on all new releases now and not a problem since

even if I don't get a i/o error it will get rid of empty/junk files in the rip that lead to this problem :D

This is what I did for Dark Water, similar to the situation you had with the error 0006 during the rebuild phase. I used pgcedit and selected the option where I already had the files ripped with DVD Decrypter. I used the "fixVTS" option and this processed the files inside the VIDEO_TS folder and found several problems. It then corrected the problems. I am going to re-run it through Rebuilder and let you know the results. I read somewhere that this should fix the issues. Next time I will just use DVDFab Decrypter instead of this method. Have heard that this works a treat! :p

looking forward to your result...

Is there any way to know which movies will NO LONGER work in DVD Decrypter? Make sure you haven't set DVD Decrypter to "ignore read errors". If you get a read error... then you have to use DVD Fab or AnyDVD. That's what I do and nothing has failed yet. I've needed to use no other tools beyond that.

@jdobbs when I got the runtime error I also recieved no i/o errors!

decrypter set @ defaults (not ignoring read errors) did the whole back-up as if it worked perfectly!

this was in response to k2's request for a way to use decrypter instead of re-ripping W/ fabdecrypter!
you will need pgcedit (freeware) along w/ the psl2 plug-in (free)

PGCedit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/) (dl and guides)

psl2 plugin (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56831) dl and guides

That fixed my problem as it processed and completed successfully without the dreaded 0006 error. Cheers :D I'm glad someone here knew the link for the psl2 guide. Gonna bookmark it myself just in case, hehe.

Just for everyone's knowledge -- I've found a cause for the "Error 0006..." that could happen on rare occasions and have corrected it for v1.06.

 this has been getting less rare!
I'm glad it's dealt w/

good show professor!

i've never encouter this error till now...
no sameless br. or multiangle...

I've passed them with dvd-remake first..
now i'll try with untouched rip

jdobbs
19th January 2006, 15:30
Any updates on the untouched rip?

What Title? Is it NTSC?

What Title? Is it NTSC?
pal, itaian movie
Using no compression method, i can make a backup.
these are the scripts generated....
same number of frames....

but the one extracted with rb that works with rebulid phase is 9230 not 9236 (the one generated by cce).

#------------------
# AVS File Created by DVD Rebuilder
# VOBID:01, CELLID:01
#------------------
LoadPlugin("D:\Documenti\[DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
mpeg2source("D:\[MOVIES\TEPEPA\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
trim(0,9236)
ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)
AudioDub(BlankClip())

#------------------
# AVS File Created by DVD Rebuilder
# VOBID:01, CELLID:01
#------------------
LoadPlugin("D:\Documenti\[DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
mpeg2source("D:\[MOVIES\TEPEPA\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
trim(0,9236)
ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)
AudioDub(BlankClip())

even strange rb doesn't gives missing frames using no compression method...

[18.10.42] Phase III, REBUILD started.
- Copying IFO, BUP, and unaltered files...
- Processing VTS_01
- Reading/processing TMAP table...
- Rebuilding seg 0 VOBID 1 CELLID 1
- Rebuilding seg 1 VOBID 1 CELLID 2
- Rebuilding seg 2 VOBID 1 CELLID 3
- Rebuilding seg 3 VOBID 1 CELLID 4
- Rebuilding seg 4 VOBID 1 CELLID 5

Finally...
extracting the segment with vobedit we got 9236 frames

and the original ifo says 9237

jptheripper
20th January 2006, 20:05
0,9236 is 9237 frames

XMEN3
20th January 2006, 21:05
0,9236 is 9237 frames
GOOD ...
THAT'S NOT THE POINT

but the one extracted with rb that works with rebulid phase is 9230 not 9236 (the one generated by cce).

THE SEGMENT EXTRACTED BY DVD-RB WITH NO COMPRESSION METHOD IS 9230

It's really odd that the extracted MPV could have fewer frames. The count that is written to the AVS is done on same stream at the same time as it is extracting it... What is reporting the frame count?

Also, look at the length of the .FLG file. How many bytes long is it?

PASSING AGAIN WITH CCE MODE, AFTER A 100% NON COMPRESSION I'VE GOT THIS VALUE NOW
USING ANY OTHER SOFTWARE I CANNOT ADJUST THE VALUE
ALL CELLS ARE SHITFED BY 6 FRAMES
BUT THE IFO STILL SAYS 9237

CAN BE AN INCONSISTENCE BETWEEN IFOS CHAPTER AND VOB CELL SPLIT POINT?

Where in the IFO does it have a frame count? Are you talking about Playback time?
