Nero or Roxio?

I have been trying to burn copywrited dvd's with Nero, dvd43, and dvd decrypter but with no luck since the Nero is not shrinking the files to a 4.7GB. A friend of mine uses Roxio 7.5 and has no problems. Can anyone lend advice or should I purchase Roxio. Let me know. Thanks.

Try DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, both of which are free and well-documented on this site.

Nero is not shrinking the files to a 4.7GB.
You have to use NERO Recode in conjunction with DVD43. Unfortunately, you may find that some of the most recent DVDs cannot be processed this way, due to the particular version of copy protection they've had applied...
