I downloaded the Haali media splitter and now when trying to watch one of my movies encoded with x264 as .mkv I get a blank screen. I'm using TT.

I was able to watch .mkv files before. As far as I know I only downloaded the current version of ffdshow. Never a splitter, but I read somewhere that I needed the Haali splitter. So I downloaded it. Now I don't get a pic.

I registered the splitter.ax file successfully. Is there another splitter that may have gotten installed that I"m not aware of that is causing problems with Haali?

Any help is appreciated.

Haali's splitter comes with an installer. So I don't know what you did, but it's the ugly way.

Alternatively you can use VLC that supports H264 in MKV.

I think I'm currently using GABEST. Is there a way to tell which splitter I'm currently using? I installed Haali and it did install properly. Just not sure why I wasn't getting a picture. Do I need to remove Gabest? Is there much a diff between different filters?

Try to load your file in Graphedit and you'll know which one is used.
