OK, here goes. Followed all the steps on reauthoring but when finished, upon playback was unable to skip from one track to the next. Is there any way to do this? I have bought the Live 8 concert but only want about one dvd's worth of songs. When I tried to reauthor, I found "Title 1" over on the right side instead of all the tracks.....soooo.....I pasted the whole title over to the left side and then used the tool to "set start/end frames" to kind of cut out all the tracks I wanted. This resulted in them being named Title 1, Title 1 (2), Title 1 (3) etc. When I went to play them back using PowerDVD, it won't let me go to the next track. How can one do this?

If there's another thread that I missed, I apologize.....but after searching all the forums and reading all day, I'm just needing some answers. Thanks.

Hi!

Doesn't PowerDVD (in a manner similar to WinDVD) have an option to select different TITLES (different than CHAPTERS)? If not, you can playback using the VLC player (formerly VideoLAN player), or purchase WinDVD...

Thanks for your suggestions. The skip forward, backward etc. functions all work when I use the "Full Disc" method in dvd shrink using PowerDVD, so don't think it's that. I have Windvd, but it won't recognize the files at all....something about a different codec needed, which does not happen at all when I just copy a concert using the Full Disc option in dvd shrink. Then, all the functions work, i.e. skip forward, backward etc. etc. in both WinDVD and PowerDVD. I think there's something missing in the process of taking those individual tracks from the discs and compiling them to make one. Have a hunch it's about the information that's lost when you don't copy any of the menu files. Any other ideas?

WinDVD does NOT require any additional codecs to play a valid DVD "package". I suspect you're attempt at re-authoring is flawed...
