View Full Version : VDUBMod always drops one frame ...

Hi,
is it me or does vdubmod always drop one frame. I only tested it with xvid, but it seems like there is always one frame missing, unless I leave the wav in there as well.

For instance ... if my avs has Trim(0,10), the output will only have 10 frames, not 11, whereas if I leave the audio in too it will have 11. Most of the time it cuts off the last frame, but sometimes it just deletes one frame randomly.

Anyone else experienced this behavior?

I tried the exact save script with avs2avi, and the output is the one expected.

Thanks

1.What Vdubmod version?
2. How about normal Vdub (not mod)?
3. How you change audio? (kill audio ?)
5. What avisynth version?
4. How it works with normal avi (not avs)?

Can you post some simple avs script with Blankclip

hi,
I was using vdubmod 1.5.10.1 and avisynth 2.5.5. Either not loading the audio at all from the avs script, or loading it and disableing it from Streams -> Stream list would yield the same result ... one frame short. A lot of times that missing frame was the last one, but sometimes it would be just a random frame. I have not tried it with regular vdub, but like I said I tried it with avs2avi and it worked fine. What was interesting was that by leaving the audio in there, the avi would come out exactly as it was supposed to (no frames missing).
If it makes any difference I was also using dgindex 1.3.

Last night I upgraded to vdubmod 1.5.10.2, avisynth 2.5.6a and dgindex 1.4.6b2 and now everything is working fine. I would still like to know why exactly one frame was being dropped with the other versions. It would also be nice to know which one of the three apps was causing the problem, but to be honest I dont really want to go through each scenario, so I think Ill just stick with what I have right now.

Regards

Just to follow up, I tested it again with vdubmod 1.5.10.1, avisynth 2.5.6a and dgindex 1.4.6b2 and it drops one frame. I guess it must be vdubmod then.
