Hi
I have a FusionHDTV DVB-T card and it save the recorded file as .tp extension file (not .ts).
When encode the .tp file to xvid/divx using AutoGK is perfect. it is a great program because it is not so complicated and easy to use.
Anyway my point is.. is there a tool that can conert the .tp file to DVD file like MPEG2. because at the moment i have to encode the .tp file to xvid/divx then back to mpeg2 and i have to say it is really pain.
why am i converting the .tp file to xvid/divx first..? well.. because the AutoGK is automatically cropped the resolution and cut out unwated black picture (don't know how to call it). example like if the recorded show is 4:3 aspect ratio, it will play/display as 16:9 aspect ratio and that will make the video surrounded with black picture.
any comments/help/tips/advice is appreciated :)
thank you for taking time to read my post.

If you want to crop, you'll have to re-encode the MPEG, but at least you can avoid going to XviD in between. Use DGMPGDec to decode the transport stream and serve the video via Avisynth. Add a Crop() call to your Avisynth script. Demux the audio also in DGMPGDec. Then add it back using AudioDub() in your script. Finally, serve the script to your favorite MPEG encoder.
Alternatively, can't you just take the script that AGK made and serve that straight into VirtualDub, then save a lossless AVI (using perhaps HUFYUV) which you can pass to your MPEG encoder?

Hi, neuron2 thank for reply
i notice that DGMPGDec already in the AUTOGK folder so i open it up and load the .tp file and an error appear and say "can not find audio or video data. Check your PIDs."

hmm.. this is so complicated :( isn't there any tool available for just one click then it encode the .tp file -> mpeg or .vob file instead of doing this and that.. it looks so pain.

Check your PIDs." So, did you check your PIDs? Start by reading the DGIndex User Manual; get the latest one in my distribution. Hint: the Stream menu.
But if you are not comfortable with using the raw tools, then try the second suggestion I gave. You'll only have to learn about VirtualDub.

I suggest westcam that you try a freeware tool called HDTV2DVD. It requires the MS .NET framework 1.1 but otherwise has worked perfectly for me (and is fast) in converting HD transport streams to DVD format.
The other tool I have used is NeroVision Express--not quite as "1-click easy" as HDTV2DVD.

Ok i think i might need to invest more times to read the manual faq etc...
i have some idea how to use VirtualDub but not so comfortable. :o
