Just a note to avoir confusion, this software encode for Pocket PC and cellphone, it does not run on them. :D

Ooh, must double-click the exe in the unzip directory...

Yeah, it has no NSIS yet. It's a Public Demo, so it's not final code nor alpha.
Things expected not to work:
* Stop button
* Save / Load settings
If the encode is extremely long, please tell me with your computer specs. I've got a report of "bellow 5 FPS" with a dual core.

Hey Sirber can you explain what is the difference between Low, Medium and High Quality. Which options are enabled and disabled in all three cases in XviD?

@COREiP
I will post it tomorrow.
@All
I found a bad bad thing: 3 bframes and extremely low bitrate makes too much video packets and screw the packet interleaving. I'm going to sleep THEN investigating :D

Thank you. It's working well for me. A very nice little program. :)

Works excellent on this end--2 Bs! Fast and slick and above all--cool as can be.
Kudos, man!

Out of interest, are you planning on releasing the source code?
Sirber
28th November 2005, 13:25
Yes, with final version (as 7z). In the meantime:
svn://svn.detritus.qc.ca/detritus/RealAnimePocket
Sources are licenced under GNU GPL.

That's great news, thank you.

Is there a way if you could add a setting that allows different types of encodes such as :Anime, Movie, Sports, News(low motion)...etc?
Sirber
29th November 2005, 03:43
What different would I do? :confused:
COREiP
29th November 2005, 03:48
Well you will have to disable cartoon mode for movies... Use a sharp matrix for sport encodes... and for low motion encodes such as shows or news use alot of b-frames...
COREiP

This way your program can be useful to encode any type of video...

I don't plan ripping other thing than anime, so I will not lose time implementing those things. You are free to use the source though.

Big chances this project is cancelled. RealAnime LE might be in a near futur to do what PE can do.

Sorry, I'm probably being really dense, but I can't get that source code link to work...
Sirber

you will need TortoiseSVN and do a "checkout".
