I don't believe there is another FREEWARE program that has ripping, compressing, and (limited) authoring capability, as well as automatic interfacing with burning software all in one program...

Nothing is wrong with shrink,I am just looking towards the future.we all know shrink isn't updated anymore and eventualy will become obselete.Just want to know what program can compress a movie the way shrink does?

You're mixing apples and oranges. The ability of DVD Shrink to COMPRESS a DVD will not become obsolete. The only thing that is already limited (due to "ARccOS" copy protection) is the ability of DVD Shrink to "RIP" (remove copy protection) a DVD.

Ironically, perhaps the most legally questionable aspect of DVD Shrink's abilities is that very same already limited ability to "Rip"...
