i am trying to perform a stream process and save only the audio stream to a separate ac3 file using DVD Decrypter. when i select the audio stream and execute the stream process command, the file is saved as a VOB, not an ac3. What am i doing wrong? I want the ac3 file so i can convert it to a wav.

hi dchety and welcome to the forum!

although the title of this forum may suggest that you ask here for help, in reality this is only for help related to problems with the forum itself ... i would have posted this question in the newbie forum, or possible the decrypting or audio forum.

anyways, what you want to do is this:

ifo mode > stream processing > enable stream processing

then highllight (not just select but highlight) the audio stream you want, select 'demux'
then your good to go

@dchety

In addition to the accurate information provided by "jel", since you already have extracted the audiostream, I believe you'll find that, as long as the ONLY stream you selected was the .AC3 audiostream, simply changing the extension from ".VOB" to ".AC3" will result in a perfectly acceptable .AC3 audio file...

If none of the above works for you, and again since you've already ripped the DVD, you can load the .VOB into DGIndex and select Audio > Output Method > Decode to WAV, then click File and save the project, which will save you the conversion to .wav step later.

yuri-dchety has received plenty of help, we just don't know if he's used any of it to this point.
