Hi everybody,

I'have got a big problem using the big3 method with "Dead Poets Society" (R2, PAL). When batchccews has done its job and that Scenarist is launched by Scenaid to compile the pre-final project, I always got this error with this warning :( :

Error Importing failed

I don't really know what to do :( ... I've performed some research in the forum but all the cases like me were for dummy tracks and here I got this error on the movie track, 20 minutes before the end of the track.

What could I do ?

Thank you in advance guys :thanks:

well for some reason your asset is shorter then it should be

import it manually into a scenarist project and post back the actual asset length

Ok, thanks for your reply. I have done what you suggested, the problem is I'm a big newbie with Scenarist... :o I have created a new blank project and simply dragged and dropped the mp2v file from the explorer to Scenarist. I suppose it was what you meant ?

I got this http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/5043/dps4ox.png Actually, on the original dvd, the movie is about 2 hrs long.

Can it help you ? If not, don't worry telling me I'm a big a noob :helpful:

well yes that's correct

Click on the data tab then the actual asset. We need the duration listed in the property window

what you have above is correct but we need the exact length HH:MM:SS:FF

Well, after 35 minutes of archeological research, I've finally found out how to activate the property window :stupid: ...

I'd guess you have clearly pointed out the problem :( :

When I import my mp2v into a blank project, I got a really shorter duration :

In the non-compilable project created by Sceneaid, it's got the good duration (about 2 hours).

What can we do now ?

did you encode this using the Scenaid-ccedata.txt file? (did Scenaid launch BatchCCE?)

If so, paste the line for the above asset

Yep, I set up sceneaid to launch automatically batchccews, here what the file you mention contains :

well the CCE data file shows the file should be longer then that (about 02:03:33:06 if I calculated correctly) so your encoded asset is way too short for some reason.

try deleting the .vif file then re-importing it into Scenarist - could be the vif is the only problem

Hum... it seems not to be so easy :( . Listen, I'll retry a fresh and blank reauthoring and see what happens.

I'll keep you updated
