Hi to all
This is my first post, after reading and learning a lot from this very useful forum in the last 3 months. For every problem I had, I always found the solution in one of the posts, without needs of posting a new one.
This time is a little different and I couldn't find something that helps me....

I burn a movie using Nero 6 in a DVD-R.
When I played back it in my stand alone, at the beginning all's OK, but after 25 or 30 minutes it starts to fail (freezes, jumps, etc). I start the movie again and forward to the same scene and this time is OK.. but after a few minutes it starts to fail again.
I play back the same disk in the DVD of my computer and it's OK from the start to the end...
I burn then the same package of VOBs in a DVD-RW (Silver Line) and it plays back perfectly in the stand alone.
So I want to understand what's wrong?
I don't suspect of the stand alone because it played back some movies burned in the same kind of disk (TEAK DVD-R) without problems.
If the disk is the wrong thing, why it not fails always in the same place?

Thanks a lot for your time and knowledge of this issue

It could have been a bad disk, or your burn speed, or other activity on your computer during the burn - there are many possibilities.

Never burn at the maximum speed of the media or the burner. Even if you're using 8X media with a 16X burner, burn at 4X.

Try closing all other programs including virus scan while burning.

Standalones are notoriously finicky with burned DVD-R's - just because it plays back normally in a DVD-ROM doesn't mean it will in a standalone.

Use the CD/DVD Speed utility under Nero Toolkit and perform the Scan Disc tests on it. This just sounds like a faulty burn with poor media.

I use VSO inspector to scan my burns.
