Hello,

I need to edit not very quality miniDV video and there is a lot of vertical smears due bright light in room. Is there any chance to reduce it ?

you _could_ try fanfilter, but i'm not really sure how to set this filter up, nor am i sure if it will work against this type of thing...

if there's lots of panning and movement you could use motion-compensation to help you filter it out. again, i'm not sure how well this would work (most likely it'll remain there, and if it doesn't you'll probably have blocks/warps left behind).

in the meantime you can think of it as an effect :)
