Last night I used DVD Rebuilder Pro 1.03 to back up DVD 1 of my new Harold Lloyd box set, but the DVDs I burned from those files won't play, either on the TV or my PC.
Clicking on the VOB files in the DVD Rebuilder output director does launch the corresponding video, so the MPEG files obviously transcoded successfully. But nothing happens -- i.e., the menu screens don't appear, and all I get is a blank screen -- when clicking on VIDEO_TS.ifo.
On a hunch I tried replacing the VIDEO_TS files (.BUP, .IFO and .VOB) in the output folder with the original ones that were ripped from the DVD and *those* produced the expected menu screens.
My question is, is this a valid way of correcting this problems, or will it cause other problems if I burn the DVD with the original VIDEO_TS files instead of the DVD Rebuilder versions?
