I just recently did a "Movie Only" backup of Star Wars III using DVD-RB 1.02. It was ripped with DvdFabDecrypter. When I played it back on both my standalone players (Koss KS4125 and Philips DVP642) the "angle" icon showed up on the TV screen, but no other angle could be selected. The Koss allows me to disable the icon, but not the Philips.
I opened the files in Shrink and it showed that there were three angles available. Playing each in Shrink showed an English, French and Spanish version of the opening dialog. I then selected only the Title 1 (English version) and did an uncompressed backup of the files and ran these files thru DVD-RB. The resultant DVD didn't show the angle icon when played on the standalones.
I also tried the original DVD in the standalones and the angle icon also didn't show, but also I couldn't even select the second or third angle. This is a Region 1 DVD. Are these other angles only available in other Region Codes?

Another backup I did in DVD-RB was Good Morning Vietnam. This was done in the No Compression Mode since it would fit on a DVD without any compression needed. It also shows the angle icon on both players. Looking at the files in Shrink shows two angles. I had ran this thru DVD-RB just to check out the backup speed in the No Compression mode compared to Shrink with no compression.

In the Prepare phase of SWIII it says there are angles - is there anyway in DVD-RB to remove the angles without having to first run the files thru Shrink? Thanks for any help or info.

No, currently there's no possibility to remove angles, but if I remember correctly it is on jdobbs to-do-list for later versions.

I also searched high and low for an option to select angles in RB and could not find one. If it is a feature not yet implemented into the program then one must pre-process the title to create one with the desired angle and then feed that into RB. Unfortunately, there does not seem any way around "pre-processing".

Angles are kept by DVD-RB. But they are selectable just as they are on the original. If you do a movie-only backup, you can change angles through your player's remote.
