Hello,
it's long time ago I have downloaded old AutoGK 1.25 but now it's new version 2.2 and I cannot find in HTML tutorial/help what software I should use for ripping DVD before processing in AutoGK :/ For old one it was DVD Decrypter if you remember ;) So what ripping software do you recommend? I heard that DVD Decrypter's author had ended his work :/

If I remember well, in this forum ther was a thread about using DVD decrypter with AnyDVD.
You should set dvddecrypter to not remove protections, and let AnyDVD to do the dirty work.

But to be honest, it's a long time I don't encode protected movies...

DVD Decrypter in IFO mode is the recommended choice...

DVD Decrypter in IFO mode is the recommended choice...
So you recommend use DVD Decrypter with exact options like for AutoGK 1.95 processing? Thanks I will try it;)

Hi!

You may, on rare occasion, find that DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 is unable to rip a new DVD release, if it (mostly SONY releases) contains a newer version of SONY's "ARccOS" copy protection (DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 CAN handle the original/initial version of "ARccOS" protection)...

So how to rip every DVD (for AutoGK 2.2 processing) with all possible protections? Should I try DVDDecryptor + AnyDVD or other software? BTW I don't know why "len0x" had removed DVD ripping procedures from his AutoGK 2.20 tutorial (I mean tutorial included with installer) :/

I've been attempting to use DVD Decrypter + AnyDVD to overcome the new protection. DVDD is able to rip the dvd with this method, however it gives me bizarre audio delays. I get the following for Bewitched.
0x80 - Audio - AC3 / 6ch / 48kHz / DRC / English / LBA: 77 / PTS: 00:00:05.046 / Delay: 4765ms
So I'm getting insane audio sync issues.

As long as your audio synch is the same throughout the file (i. e. doesn't get better or worse as it progresses) it can be adjusted easily with VirtualDubMod.

Hello aLLL again,
What about ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) ? I heard it's continuing of DVD Decryptor based on original DVD Decryptor source. Does anybody knows if I can use this ImgBurn for AutoGK processing? Aswer from AutoGK author would be nice;)

Imgburn is used for burning image files in a CD/DVD only. - This cannot be used for decrypting a DVD.

So what I've worked out is to
Use the pgcedit PSL2 wizard
Rip with DVDDecrypter + PSL2 file in file mode
Use pcgedit "Remove Crap"
Use pgc.net to extract the PGC we want
Feed that to autogk as if it was ripped in IFO mode with DVDD.

This is probably more work then is needed, but it works for me. This is only needed for the new ARccOS protected discs.

If instead you used DVD Decrypter in IFO mode with file splitting set to None, you can open the .VOB with AutoGK as your next step. With ARccOS-encrypted disks, the only problem I've found is audio synch problems occasionally which are very easily corrected with NanDub.

That's assuming you're using AnyDVD, right?
If the disc doesn't have the new ARccOS protection, I just rip in IFO mode and feed it straight to autoGK. File splitting at that point is irrelevant.
