I had to reinstall windows on my computer so I reinstalled MeGUI and the audio encoding works fine but when I try and encode with x264 it just sits there and doesn't do anything and I don't know why. I've double checked that everything is installed and configured properly but I still can't get it to work.

Did you reinstall .NET?

Depending on your settings it may take up to 3-4 minutes to start encoding. try waiting 10 mins. if your using lower powered settings it may be a different issue.

Have you tried using MeGUI to encode Xvid or another codec with Mplayer?

Also do you have a YV12 codec installed?

IE Xvid or Helix YV12?

I found out what the problem was .net 2.0 was installed along with .net 1.1 even though I only installed version 1.1, I guess windows update installed it. MeGUI works perfectly fine now.
Thanks for all the help.

That's wierd cause I'm using only 2.0 and not 1.1 and it works fine. must be on a per system basis.

must be on a per system basis.I think so, too. I have both the 1.1 and 2.0 runtime installed and MeGUI works like a charm. In fact, .NET is done in a way that MeGUI will look for the runtime it has been compiled against (1.1) and use that if multiple versions are around.
