I couldn't add a pool to the existing fft3dgpu thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=89941) so I created this one to help me decide in what order I should merge features from fft3dfilter (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=85790) into fft3dgpu. So please vote which feature should be the first one to be implemented.

Here's my priority list.
1) Kalman Filter
2) Degrid
3) Interlacing support.
4) Everything Else.

Here's what I use most often:
1. Degrid
2. Interlaced support
3. variable overlaps (I always set this to bh/2, bw/2)

It may be old.
But it's not good. :p
I've seen DX 9 cards like Radeon 9500 Pro's for under $100. I'm not sure if they sell them in Russia, but it's worth looking into.

I always use the following FFT3DFilter line:
FFT3DFilter(sigma=X,plane=Y,bw=32,bh=32,bt=3,ow=16,oh=16)
and leave the rest at defaults, so I don't use pfactor or Kalman. I don't process interlaced video and the lack of interlaced support can be circumvented. LimitedSharpen has given me amazing results so far so I'm not switching. So, here's my pic:
0) Support for older cards like Fizick's GF2MX400 and my Radeon 7200
1) Degrid.
2) Variable overlapping size (ow,oh).
3) Interlaced support
4) Weighting windows type (wintype)
5) Kalman filtering
6) Noise pattern method (pfactor)
7) Sharpening

looks like it's going to be degrid first.
And no it's not possible to support Directx 7.0 cards (like geforce2 and radeon 7200) because they don't support shaders. It migth be possible to support directx 8.0 cards(geforce 3 and radeon 8500) but I would be very masochistic to do that because 8 bit integer fft is not very funny to do. And as Revgen stated a Geforce 6200 or radeon 9550 is not that expensive any more.

I think - better PCIe cards (not with bridge AGP-PCIe) becose in AGP very slow download from VRAM to main RAM.
I buy x700:
1) becouse X-series first develope on PCIe
2) this is fist mainstream cards with 8 pixel conveers
3) on new 110nm process (fo gpu on that time)

Other - combined method, when you can directly set different noise values sigma for highest and sigma2, sigma3, sigma4 for lower frequencies.
