Hello,
When I capture with tv tuner Aver Media 203 through
Virtual Dub 1.6.10 (23648)
Virtual Dub 1.6.11 (23774)
i get a freeze of picture and after pressing Esc button - a message: Capture error. Internal programm error durring video handling: Access violation.
Here results with different codecs and conditions:
pic size peak cpu load %
160x120 20 non stop XviD_Nic_1.1.0 b2.zip default setting without debug window
384x288 85 non stop
768x288 100 stop after 30sec
-----
the same reaction the codecs give:
XviD-1.0.1-05062004.exe
XviD-1.0-RC3-29022004.exe
XviD-1.1.0-Beta2-04042005.exe
I tried XviD.Root.24.02.2003.1100.exe of uManiac's
768x578 100% load cpu a lot of dropped frames, but without a stop.
divx 5.05 and higher works without the message as well as the other codecs,
i.e. the message is specific for above Xvid codecs.
An advantage of Divx is the de-interlace mode.
XviD has better quality of picture.
Regards
