Big 3-link for guide is broken(help new user)

i want to learn and try Big 3 and reading the faqs/guides this link is not working:

all programs needed to use Big 3 are free?(less CCE)

the link was not working but is ok now.
comparing this 2 guides i saw that one use muxman 0.15 and i'm not a vip user.

can i use the other guide(scenaid) that was updated in October 1, 2005?

The new guide caters for vip and non-vip. The vip parts are branched off.
