I wonder if Nic is working on the new Mpeg4 H264[MPEG4-AVC for HDDVD]or is it only a MPEG4 ASP supported by actual Divx players(?).

Hello freelock,

Hello guada 2,

My answer will look really dumb but, isn't it here the right place to? ;)

By chance, somebody would have it an idea on the question of freelock?
That also interests me.

Thanks

I tested the first alpha weeks ago with mpeg4 and it was ASP Video Libavcodec. Donīt know if something changed.

JoeBG,

Nic detains the information.
I hope that its optimizations will be at the height of its absence. :)

Well, my new Divx player seems to not accept the libavcodec mpeg4 profile.
BTW, It was my first interest to learn about it.
I would have hoped to compare with xvid mpeg4. :(

Hi Freelock :)

Sorry for not writing much recently. My ISP (NTL UK) won't let me connect to the forum (We have that ISP at work too). So I can only connect from elsewhere or when I proxy through, so I haven't been here much lately.

The MPEG-4 part added to QuEnc was mainly for Sony devices. Mainly my W800 phone and PSP. Maybe with a slight modification it will work on your DivX Player. It is only MPEG4 ASP as found in libavcodec but I may add H264 from x264 in the next build (if I ever get round to it. Been very busy recently)

Take Care,
-Nic

Thanks Nic to clarify. Glad to know you are working on it.
I found out tonight that MP4 from QuEnc and Nero digital (ASP standard) could be converted in AVI through MP4UI and played on my Targa5100!
Fine! :)

And very blocky - sorry to say this. You have to improve this. :)

Would love that. With commandline possibilities? This means, external programms can start QuEnc for Encoding.

Eh... and you haven't already teared them a new one for this?!? :D

It's not up to the ISP to decide what you may connect to and what not - it's their freaking job to provide connectivity to the whole internet, unless you happen to pay for "connectivity to Teh (whole) Intarweb with the exception of doom9.org"...
