I'm using VirtualDubMod now for several years and I love it, but there is one minor thing that annoys every time.

Whenever I load a VBR audio stream it asks me whether I would like it to be screwed or not with the notorious "Do you still want to rewrite the header?" dialog which I do not want of course. I tried several options in the prefernces to turn it off once for all time but nothing worked so far.

Do you have any idea how to get rid of it apart from modifying the source code?

Hi!
one minor thing that annoys every time.
Nope, I don't know how to turn it off, however:

It's there for your protection and knowledge - We're immediately made aware that the .MP3 stream is NOT CBR, which can be very useful knowledge - So why try to turn it off?

So why try to turn it off?

Because after seeing this warning several hundred times and even reading it a couple of times I think it has now fulfilled it's purpose in my case to make me aware of the problems I will encouter.

Besides that I usually do encode my mp3 streams minutes before I load them into VirtualDubMod, so it's rather unlikely that I will suddenly forget that I encoded them as VBR.

I understand that this warning makes sense if one works with VirtualDubMod only occassionally and I didn't complain much about it at first but eventually it started to annoy me esp. because I sometimes accidently pressed "yes" already.

I see your point...
